Adults (Age 13 and Up) $17.00
Children (6 through 12) $ 8.00
Children (3 through 5) $ 5.00
Infants (2 and Under) Free – Requires Ticket for Boarding
We do not offer a senior citizen rate. Group rates and reservations are available for groups of 20+ - see Group Rate Sheet.

PAYMENT: We accept cash, debit cards, or checks (personal or travelers) . We do not accept credit cards.

SCHEDULE: Open daily early May through September 30th. During the month of October we operate on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Our last day of operation will be the last Sunday in October at 1:00 pm. See our schedule of operation for departure times.

SEATING: Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Boarding takes place approximately 10 minutes prior to departure time. On occasion, the entire boat or a specific deck may be privately chartered. If you have questions about a specific day/time, please contact us.

TICKET SALES: Ticket sales are done on a daily first come-first serve basis. Our shop opens at 10:00 a.m. daily (May through Labor Day), and later in the morning in September and October. If you are a group of 20+, please call ahead for reservations and group rate information.

CANCELLATION: All trips will depart as long as we have the equivalent to six (6) or more adult paying passengers. We do not operate in severe weather or electrical storms. If tickets have been purchased, and cruise is canceled due to weather or mechanical failure, a full refund will be issued

GENERAL FACTS:

  • 1 ˝ hour (approximate) cruise with live narration of harbor and area.
  • Cruise the Kalamazoo River and enter Lake Michigan (with permitting lake conditions) This decision is made on a trip-by-trip basis, when the physical condition of the lake can be viewed by the captain.
  • Restroom facilities onboard.
  • Snack bar available – selling beer, wine, mixed drinks, pop, chips and candy.
  • U.S. Coast Guard licensed and inspected. 100% adult/child life jackets onboard.
  • Meals – Available for groups of 20 or more.
  • US Coast Guard licensed captains.
  • Ship-to-Shore radios onboard.
  • The Star is a “non-smoking” vessel.
  • You should be able to “reach out and touch” your children at all times.
  • Due to heightened security measures, no packages may be brought onboard the boat. All backpacks, coolers, diaper bags, purses, etc. may be subject to security searches. Anyone refusing their items to be searched will be denied access to the boat. At heightened security levels, photo identification may be required.

Saugatuck can be easily accessed at Exit 36 or 41 from I-196. We are 12 miles south of Holland, 40 miles south of Grand Haven, 55 miles south of Muskegon, 20 miles north of South Haven, 35 miles SW of Grand Rapids, 60 miles northwest of Kalamazoo – 150 miles from Chicago, and 175 miles from Detroit.
